At the scheduled time we'll meet at Praça Dom Luis I to start this guided tour of Cais do Sodré, one of Lisbon's most fashionable neighborhoods on the banks of the Tagus. Let's get to know all its secrets!
First, we'll start walking through the squares and streets of Cais do Sodré admiring the facades of old port warehouses, old shipyards of the Portuguese navy, and other iconic places like the train station, with more than a century of history.
We'll see the tile-decorated houses of the famous Rua da Rosa and visit the popular Ribeira market. Then, we'll head to the port of Cais do Sodré and board a boat to Belém.
During the cruise, we'll enjoy the incredible views of the Tagus River, pass under the 25 de Abril Bridge and see the sculpture of Christ the King, the Monument to the Discoveries, and the mythical Belém Tower.
Once we have reached Belém, we'll take a guided tour of the city to learn about its history, from the Middle Ages to the present day. We'll also visit the church of the Jeronimos Monastery, declared a World Heritage Site, and see the exterior of the palace where the President of Portugal resides.
